A 24-year-old unemployed South Korean man was found dead in an Internet cafe bathroom after playing computer games for 86 hours straight.
Witnesses claim that the man had not left his terminal since last Friday, and had not eaten or slept in any significant manner since starting his binge. He then collapsed at the counter yesterday, only to recover and head towards the bathroom, where he was later found dead.
The police have ruled out murder as a cause of death.
Most Internet cafes in South Korea are open 24 hours. There are over 22,000 such cafes, called "PC Rooms" in South Korea alone.
South Korea is considered one of the world's most Internet-aware nations, with over half of its 47 Million person population having access to the Internet in some fashion.
