We've got a bit of new info on the upcoming Mickey Mouse games in development at Capcom.
Today Capcom confirmed to us that both Magical Quest Starring Mickey and Minnie for GBA and Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse for GameCube are being developed by Capcom in Japan, but will be published by Nintendo. This isn't really new info, but we weren't totally clear on the publisher situation, and we thought maybe some of you readers might be confused as we were.
More interestingly, Capcom also told us that Mr. Okamoto is working on both of the Mickey games. You may recognize the name from Nintendo's E3 2002 press conference; Okamoto is currently developing Legend of Zelda GBA for Nintendo, and he was one of the developers who joined Shigeru Miyamoto on stage to show off Zelda GBA's "Four Swords" multiplayer mode. Mr. Okamoto happens to be head of Capcom's R&D department in Japan; it is rather significant that he is currently involved in three projects to be published by Nintendo.
