Ubi Soft Partners With Fox Interactive To Bring Aliens vs. Predator To The Game Boy® Advance

3 April 2002 – Ubi Soft® Entertainment, one of the world’s leading video game publishers, announced today a worldwide deal with 20th Century Fox to develop the popular game Aliens vs. Predator for the first time ever on the Game Boy® Advance hand-held video game system. Ubi Soft has acquired the rights to develop Aliens vs. Predator until 2003. Aliens vs. Predator is a successful gaming franchise, having sold over 1 million copies on PC worldwide.

Aliens vs. Predator is a unique concept, featuring characters from the thrilling films “Aliens” and “Predator.” Aliens vs. Predator pits the three most dangerous species in the universe against each other in a battle for the ultimate prize – survival. Playing as a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien, players stalk their way through intense and terrifying environments.

“This game allows players to experience numerous levels of action and terror and we are looking forward to creating a hand-held version that captures all the excitement of these sci-fi thrillers,” said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubi Soft Entertainment Inc.

“Aliens vs. Predator has been one of Fox Interactive’s most successful game franchises and we are pleased to be partnering with Ubi Soft for its debut on Game Boy Advance,” stated Steve Bersch, president of Fox Interactive.
