Nintendo took a beating this week, slipping and grabbing a mere three spots in the Top 10 this week. Overall, Nintendo branded products accounted for 12 of the 30 best selling games.

The flagship mover this week for Nintendo was Super Mario Advance 2, which made a comeback from off the charts to fourth place in a single week. Meanwhile, Smash Brothers has yet to make the million mark and has even slipped to tenth place. The new GBA RPG/Adventure Tomato Adventure made it’s debut, and found its way to the 14th slot.

Sony clearly cleaned house this time around, with the launch of the long anticipated Sangokushi VIII, know to many in the West as the newest Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which took top honors. Second place was snagged by an adventure sim period piece that you’ve never heard of, or ever will. My guess is that it will slip below 15th place next week. Also noteworthy, WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It climbed the ropes to the third slot.
