Several readers emailed us last week asking about The Thing's status for GameCube, since that system wasn't mentioned in recent announcements for the game. Today we contacted Universal Interactive to check for sure, and they told us that The Thing is not coming for GameCube, and for that matter, it never was. Apparently there was some mixup when the game was originally announced that led many of us to believe it had in fact been confirmed for the 'Cube.

There's still a chance that the game could eventually be ported to GameCube, but for now we have changed its status to "CANCELLED" in our database.
