Nintendo of America, Inc. today announced the promotion of three long-time employees to vice president positions, and the appointment of current Vice President, National Sales Randy Peretzman to a newly

expanded role as vice president, consumer sales.

The promotions of Leon Feuerberg, Ken Frost, Rob Thompson and Randy Peretzman come during a pivotal year for Nintendo that spans two

product launches - Game Boy(R) Advance in June and NINTENDO GAMECUBE(TM) this month.

In his new role as vice president, consumer sales, Randy Peretzman has overall responsibility for the entire Nintendo of America sales department, including establishing the strategic direction and

objectives for the division. Randy joined Nintendo in 1986 as the company's first regional sales manager in New York City. He previously served as Nintendo's director of sales and vice president, national

sales. A native of New York, Randy is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Leon Feuerberg was promoted to vice president, national sales. He joined Nintendo in 1988 as a sell-through sales analyst, and has spent the last 13 years in Merchandising, Marketing-Latin America and

Consumer Sales - helping prepare him for his most recent promotion. He attended the University of Washington and, prior to joining Nintendo, was the president of World of Toys, located in Bellevue.

Nintendo promoted Ken Frost to vice president, consumer sales administration. Promoted to vice president, consumer service, Rob Thompson has worked at Nintendo for nearly 20 years, and has been a driving force in establishing Nintendo's reputation for excellence in customer service. Thompson, formerly director of consumer service, began his career with Nintendo as a service technician in 1981.

"The combined experience of these four is simply unmatched by any other manufacturer in the industry," says Minoru Arakawa, president of Nintendo of America, Inc. "And I expect they will continue cementing

our prominent positions with the more than 15,000 retailers we work with."

As the worldwide leader and innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co. Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan,

manufactures and markets hardware and software for its popular home video game systems. The systems include Game Boy(R), Nintendo(R) 64, Game Boy Advance and the upcoming NINTENDO GAMECUBE(TM). Since the
