The strange, cutesy communication game gains a GBA counterpart and will be one of the first games to exploit the link-up between GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Scope the details.

Nintendo has revealed that players who own Animal Forest for both GBA and GameCube will be able exchange data between the two versions via the GBA/GCN Link cable.

At least one confirmed way this can work is that players will be able to design wallpapers and costumes on their Game Boy Advance with the help of a Mario Paint-style utility, using the GBA as a view screen. Once you have completed the patterns and designs, you simply upload them to the GameCube Animal Forest and use them as textures in that game.

We'll have more on these innovative interconnecting games soon
