Activision talks about GameCube

Activision announced it's 2002 plans, and has announced that they have 10 GameCube titles in development...and plenty more news!

Activision held a investors Conference Call today to discuss investor relatios, as well as plans for 2002.

Activision said that for the rest of this fiscal year, and 2002, they have 10 titles in development. They also said that no GameCube title will make it out by the end of fiscal year 2001. No official titles or release dates were announced for 2002 or 2003.

A couple more interesting announcements....

1. Activision will be making games around the new Spiderman Movie, and the sequel to the X-men Movie.

2. Activision believes 2001 is the biggest launch year in history for next generation systems.

3. Activision has a Space Invaders game coming to GBA.

4. Activision believes there will be 2 million GameCubes and X-Box in homes by the end of the year.

5. Activision will be persuing an auto racing title.

6. Castle Wolfenstein has possibilies on next generation consoles. Will be discussed further after the PC version is finished.
