In an interview with Nintensity, Crawfish Interactive discusses Driven, Ecks vs. Sever, and GBA development in general.

The guys at Nintensity sat down for a little chat with Mike Merren, Director of Development at Crawfish Interactive. Crawfish was recently announced as the developer of the upcoming Street Fighter Alpha 3 for Game Boy Advance. They're also working on Driven, a racing game based on the summer movie, and Ecks vs. Sever, a first-person shooter based on the upcoming film of the same name. Here's an excerpt from the interview:

Nintensity: It seems you guys are interested in making games based on movies (Driven, Ecks vs. Sever). Can you tell us the reasoning behind this?

Mike Merren: Bam! Entertainment approached us with two great movie licenses and the result is Driven and Ecks vs. Sever. We don’t necessarily focus on movie license games, having developed over 25 games for the Game Boy Color, crossing all genres and licences.

Nintensity: We're under the impression that (Driven) will be a four-player game. Besides the racing aspect, what other features will the link cable provide (i.e. trading items, upgrading stats, etc.)?

Mike Merren: You will be able to transfer fastest laps to friends to see if they can beat your fastest time. There will also be a multi boot mode to allow for Multiplayer with just one cartridge.

Nintensity: Do you think Crawfish Interactive will continue to make many more GBA games in the future? If so, what are some titles you're working on?

Mike Merren: We are currently working on 10 GBA titles, and will be starting more once these are complete. GBA is a big part of the Crawfish business plan and will continue to be for some time to come.
