The company will be headed by the former president of Creatures. Here's the juice freshly squeezed from Core Magazine....
According to Nintendo representatives in Kyoto, a seperate company dubbed 'Pocket Monsters' will be established to handle the Pokemon brand. The new subsidiary, which will be headed by Tsunekazu Ishihara (formely president of Creatures Inc.) will be based in Chuo-Ku Tokyo. Aside from pursuing merchandizing opportunities, the new company will be responsible for protecting the Pokemon brand from intellectual property violators. The Pokemon franchise has been licensed for more than 40,000 products, with sales in excess of 800 billion yen ($6.5 billion).
