Today, the Gaming Intelligence Agency posted a story about Bomberman coming to GameCube, a game announcement snuggled in NOA's E3 press materials:

It's difficult to find, but Nintendo's GameCube press material makes a brief mention of Bomberman for the upcoming system. Absolutely nothing about the title is known so far, though it will presumably be developed by Hudson Soft.

Hard to find is right; we missed it altogether! Well, props to GIA for finding it for us! Although Bomberman has come to basically every video game system ever made, this is still some pretty good news to report. Bomberman games established the multiplayer insanity that led to Nintendo including 4 controller ports into the N64. Although some Bomberman games are better than others, all of them have offered something fun. Here’s hoping online play will be included in the GameCube version, similar to the upcoming Bomberman Online for Sega Dreamcast.
