Spider-Man, Tony Hawk Say "Hi!" to GameCube

Activision confirms that its two biggest franchises are indeed GameCube-bound.

The giant publisher announced in a recent financial report that it is working on GameCube titles in both the Tony Hawk and Spider-Man franchises. Both are slated for sometime in 2002. The former is quite likely to be a port of Tony Hawk 3 from PS2...Spider-Man might also be a port from an upcoming PS2 game. Either or both could even be totally original titles, but Activision traditionally develops primarily for Sony's consoles and then lets developers like Edge of Reality and Treyarch bring those games to the other systems. Don't expect this stuff to be shown at E3 next week, but Activision will likely make further statements about its GameCube plans.
