A source close to Nintendo has stated that the GCN will not be out in July.
According to Computer and Video Games, someone high up in Nintendo has commented, "It’s not at all coming out in July. Not a chance." Nintendo will be pushing the GBA, hoping the large numbers of the portable will urge the public to buy GameCubes.
What does this mean for us folks outside of Japan? Probably nothing. This news is not very suprising, as Yamauchi himself stated that a Japanese delay may happen. CVG is suspicious of the October launch in the US, but so far there is nothing to make us suspicious of Yamauchi's words earlier this year.
