I smell Tekken...

The newest issue of Famitsu Weekly has an interview with Yasuhiko Asada, executive managing director of Namco. Asada-san's comments bode well for his companie's future relationship with Nintendo...

"In addition, we are very interested in Nintendo's GameCube as one of our target machines because it will have a strong influence in changing the current user groups -- and it means more things created by Nintendo."
Interesting comments indeed. He seems to be looking forward to not just the system's penetration into new age demographics for Nintendo, but also the fact that GameCube's success will mean more games made by Nintendo. This guy's a fan! Rock on Mr. Asada, rock on. Meanwhile, it now looks more certain than ever that Namco is going to be a major GameCube and GBA supporter. A version of Klonoa, the company's major platorming franchise, is already in development for the handheld platform.
