Want to know what important developers in Japan think? Look no further... That sounded so clichéd.

IGN Cube has spotted an interesting article in Famitsu Weekly. The major Japanese publication has gathered the thoughts of many big Japanese developers on Nintendo's GameCube.

Yoshiki Okamoto of Capcom reveals plans for full support of the GameCube, but wonders exactly where the Nintendo is headed.

Game Arts officials said their company will pursue a multi-platform strategy, but they are especially happy with Nintendo's serious stance on gaming.

KOEI's Keiko Erikawa still believes that Nintendo's stronger suit is the young crowd, yet he feels that may be changed by the release of some adult-oriented titles, perhaps from KOEI itself.

Konami is concentrating on the PS2 this year but should have some GameCube precense this year.

Namco's Yasuhiko Asada said "Nintendo is the one to watch" and also "we have great interest in making GameCube our 'target' machine". That is excellent news. However, officials from Namco's US branch stated that no agreements were signed yet.

Lastly, Sega's Tetsu Kayama believes that the GameCube can be tremendously successful as long it launches on schedule.

Awareness and affinity towards Nintendo's GameCube should only be increasing as we approach E3 and the Japanese launch.
