Nintendojo interviews Turok-team leader, David Dienstbier who hints at Turok on Nintendo's next-gen systems...

Nintendo 64's favorite dinosaur hunter, or only one for that matter, has a very good chance of seeing the light of day on the Dolphin. During an interview with Nintendojo, David Dienstbier the man behind the Turok games for the N64 casually let out hints for a Dolphin incarnation. What's interesting to note is that he states "As we get further into Dolphin development we will plan to exploit its on line capabilities as best we can!" Very good news indeed!

Dojo: Will there be a PC version of Rage Wars with internet play? Are you looking forward to network capability with the next-gen of consoles? More specifically, if the Dolphin system has access to the Internet do you see yourselves trying to trailblaze the console netplay revolution the Turok franchise, building on the successes you've had already?

DD: There will be no PC version of Rage Wars. It was really designed as an N64 game. It is limited by the console. If we were going to develop a PC version of the game, it would have to be a new product. Rage Wars can’t compete in the PC market with Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. In regards to your other questions, we are extremely excited about the potential for a true online Turok experience. As we get further into Dolphin development we will plan to exploit its on line capabilities as best we can!

Dojo: Are any plans underway to develop a Game Boy Advance incarnation of Turok?

DD: Its been discussed repeatedly, and I would love for it to happen! Keep your fingers crossed! Mmmm… Gameboy Advance Turok game……
