Peter Main, executive vice president for sales and marketing for Nintendo of America, has revealed that Nintendo Co. of Kyoto, Japan will reveal new details about Dolphin within the next "10 to 15 days." In a press conference with analysts, Main said: "Further detail on Dolphin will be forthcoming also within the next few weeks, as we're expecting announcements from our chairman immenating out of Japan, again within the next 10 to 15 days."

In addition, Main responded to speculation that Nintendo will have a hard time in the next console race by saying the following: "The good news about coming last in a launch is you know the ducks you're shooting that. Let me just say that not having divulged very much about what the Dolphin is all about is by design, we have read and studied very clearly what it is Dreamcast is about...We think we understand what that software is all about, we understand what Playstation has said...We think we're going to be very very competitive, and we think that both Dreamcast and Playstation are going to have their hands full."
