NOA shoots down reports of a GameCube delay to November, stemming from a marketing calendar shown at Toy Fair '01.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have just received official word from Nintendo of America that the November launch date shown at the New York Toy Fair is wrong. Here's what they told us:

There was inaccurate information released regarding the North American launch date of Nintendo GameCube. Please note, Nintendo has not made any new announcements regarding the launch date of Nintendo GameCube since our original announcement at Spaceworld in Aug. 2000.
That means that the system is still set for October until the company officially says otherwise. And hey, this means we get a pretty sweet deal. A lot of people who took the delay information as fact said it was cool because GBA would come early...now we find that the GC is still on time, and the GBA's new official launch date confirms its early release!
