This is certainly some very big news!
IGN Cube has learned that the new Metroid game under development by Retro Studios will be a First Person Shooter. This comes as a shock; the game was previously believed to be a third person shooter. Apparently product evaluators didn't like the way the series was heading and the game was switched over to FPS. The team is working hard to make sure that there are no camera problems at all. It is unknown weather or not the game will feature a 3rd person view as an alternate viewpoint.
