Well that's what several sources "close to Rare" have told IGN. Sounds somewhat far-fetched at this stage but IGN insists that the sources have leaked that the company have "allegedly devoted the better half of its internal resources to the project" to reach that all important October 2001 release date. Well that's what it would probably take to get a game as huge as this ready for launch. Rare have had their development kits for several months now so something big is definitely cooking.
