For all you crazies wondering if Nintendo would show up at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show, we have an answer. The answer is YES! Kinda, sorta, maybe that is. The Secure Digital Association showed up. The SDA is a group of more than 200 members including the likes of Panasonic, SanDisk, Sharp, and Nintendo. They were busy showing off the Secure Digital cards that the Nintendo GameCube will use as a mass media storage device. OK, so nothing on the GameCube was mentioned, but the hardware was there. The SDA display had three GameCubes on display in Purple, Gold and Silver.
