Wizards unite, and this time they can ALL be named.

In honor of its 10th anniversary, there will be a single package for all your Trine needs.

Modus Games and Frozenbyte have confirmed that the Trine Ultimate Collection will receive a Switch retail release this fall. In addition to having the whole series to date, the Ultimate Collection will include download codes for an original soundtrack of the series and a digital artbook + a physical world map of Trine 4. A preorder bonus will include a cloth poster.

The first two games in the series are currently on the Switch and Wii U eShops, and a Switch port of Trine 3 has been promised.

I still regret the $20 I spent on Trine 2 at Wii U’s launch even with the coupon I eventually got years later. Since I previously purchased Trine 2, I got a 50% off Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. Still not worth it though.

No, but the Trine series is a very particular style of platformer, based largely on physics puzzles with really tacked-on combat. It's kind of janky & not for everyone. Trine 2 is probably the best in the series so far, as Trine 3 not only went WAY off the reservation in terms of design (it went from 2D to 3D) but is also openly only 1/3 of a complete game. The developers ran out of money and cut their losses. Trine 4 seems to be ignoring Trine 3 altogether.
