Square rumblings...

Square says good things about GameCube to the folks at Videogames.com.

The bad news: Square still hasn't confirmed anything regarding GameCube development. The great news: they haven't ruled it out, and they even think the GameCube is good for the industry. Videogames.com took the initiative to call up the famed developer and ask just what's up. The rep told them, "...Square is open to new platforms; we will develop for those platform(s) which we believe will let us create games that meet our expectations." So...this seems like pretty good news. Most people think Square has sold their souls to Sony, but that's really not true. Sure, Sony has probably offered them a few extra incentives to stick with PS2, but they still have a mind of their own. Let's just hope that Square is really impressed with what the GameCube can do.

So, besides the obvious answer of Final Fantasy, what Square series would you most like to see on GameCube? Hit the Talkback button and let us know!
