Great news folks! In a C&VG interview with Konami Computer Entertainment Osaka, a version of International Superstar Soccer has been confirmed for Gamecube.

"We haven’t received any development tool yet, but [there are plans to bring ISS to Gamecube] because this is one of the strongest titles for Konami KCEO," said Mr Katsuya Nagae, Executive Vice President and General Manager of KCEO. "So we will definitely have ISS for Gamecube."

"From the information we have got, Gamecube sounds fantastic - at least from what Nintendo has promised so far", acknowledged Mr Yasuo Okuda, Deputy General Manager of KCEO and Producer of ISS on PlayStation 2. "So I am expecting to have the development tools. However we are still not certain if [Nintendo’s] information is true or not. But expectations from the R&D side are high."

Sounds pretty good to us, but it looks like we probably won't be seeing ISS in time for launch. For those of you who have missed out on the series on N64, shame on you! International Superstar Soccer = fantastic soccer & it will be a *real* treat to see it on GC!!!
