Hopped online today to see Mike Hrusecky had emailed the Planet staff with his discovery of two recently filed Nintendo patents. I excitedly rushed to check it out thinking this was a surefire scoop. I shamelessly fell into frenzy, "could these be system mock-ups?!?" Of course, they weren't. My hopes were dashed when a closer look revealed the patents were for cartridges - & existing ones at that. Mighty Justin N. identified the carts as the GBC Rumble Cart and the N64 Modem Cartridge with a yawn. Examining the figures & looking at some of the patent filing dates, he's almost certainly right. Poop.

There's no pertinent Dolphin/GBA news to be found here, Planeteers. Of course, if anyone would like to forego common sense to construct their own conspiracy theories about the patents, we'd love to hear them. ;)
