Capcom announces their multi-platform strategy: online games are in the cards...

Yesterday in Japan, Capcom revealed their business plans for the coming year. Okamoto, president of Capcom, stated that the future will be networking, and that Capcom will support this by shifting their focus onto developing games with network capabilities. What was made clear from the beginning is that the company is planning on supporting multiple platforms, including Dolphin, X-Box and Gameboy Advance. Capcom also said that in the future major game titles will be released on these multiple platforms simultaneously, interesting strategy indeed. So a Resident Evil game could be released at the same time on all the major platforms in the future, something that hasn't happened this past generation.
