Rumors of the week past

by Kosta Andreadis - June 6, 2000, 6:02 am EDT

Rumors surround Capcom and Konami...

Well last week some rumors as to possible games coming to the Dolphin have surfaced on a lot of web-sites. Please note that these are only rumors and are in no way definite plans. First up on the list is Capcom and Resident Evil Zero (still currently slated for N64 release). Word on the street is that Capcom are scrapping the title and are moving it over to Dolphin possibly as a luanch title. This comes after the news that Resident Evil for the Game Boy Color was scrapped. Speculation is that Capcom realised that the Game Boy Color couldn't handle a Resident Evil game (which was in development for a short period) so they moved it over to the Game Boy Advance where there would be a compatibility between the Dolphin Resident Evil Zero. The source for this rumour is IGN64.

Next on the rumour list is Konami and Metal Gear Solid 2, currently wowing people who witnessed the Playstaion 2 footage. Will the game surface on Dolphin? Well certain people think it is a definite possibility as Konami are planning compatability between hand held Metal Gear games and the console versions. Specualtion on Magic Box is that Metal Gear on the Game Boy Color will be compatible with the Playstaion 2, which sounds sort of ridiculous. As Dolphin is compatible with both the Game Boy Color and Advance, a Dolphin port of Metal Gear Solid should not be ruled out as of yet.
