The Forums and IGN64 are one?!

If you are a member or a casual reader of Planet N2000's Forums, we have a normal reader, and poster that has been talking a lot about this thing called...N1E2x8T. We will keep this person anonymous...by calling him....Jimmy. Now, this N1E2x8T concept has been debated for about a week in the forums. Now, suddenly IGN64 Ed the Janitor has the (get ready) SAME STORY! Is Jimmy talking to Ed? Is Ed sleeping with Jimmy's sister? Who knows? Here's the goods...

Ever heard of N1E2x8T? Sure, you say, it's a household name for crying out loud. But really, while the text looks like nothing more than gibberish to most of us, I've got good reason to believe that there could be a whole lot more to it. N1E2x8T could be the very backbone of online connectivity for Nintendo's upcoming Dolphin and Game Boy Advance. I recently received word from a person who is, shall we say, in the know about these things and this individual had some very interesting things to say about the codename. Check it:

N1E2x8T: Nintendo Entertainment Network

Through a joint venture with Matsushita (who as you know has extensive knowledge and resources of digital networking), Nintendo has laid the groundwork for the Dolphin and Gameboy Advance digital network, codenamed (N1E2x8T). This Network will be used to play games, download games and new levels, and other future features not yet decided on.

The codename breaks down like this:

NET- Network

(1) -- The primary path that all game information will travel on.

(2) -- The secondary path that added enhancements to games will travel on. (ex: pictures and voice data, feedback between gamers). This also will allow for Gameboy Advance and Dolphin games that are programmed to interact with each other to be used.

(8) -- This is the number of Dolphins, Gameboy Advances or a combination of both that can be networked' together. This will allow for unsurpassed network team play as up to eight Dolphins with four player split-screen for a total of 32 players against 32.

(x) -- connection that is still undecided at this point.

The network is still very much in its infancy but is planned to be ready within six months of launch.
