Rumour Rumour Rumour!

GBA secretly displayed? The rumors come a flying today. This one is from Nintendorks. How ready is the GBA?

Rumor Monkey: I'm back on the keyboard tonight with some next-gen goods. Lets start off with Gameboy Advance.

I yakked it up with a gentleman today that was in Japan just last week. While in the island of a country, he got to see an early demo of Gameboy Advance. Though the actual unit was not the final design of GBA, he told me it looked like a wide version of the Gameboy Color. He also pointed out that the longer screen had amazing resolution. As I reported late last year, though GBA is 32-bit, we can expect the graphics to look like an enhanced SNES. And wouldn't you know it, the GBA demo was a few levels of the 1995 SNES classic, Yoshi's Island. I was also informed that NCL (Nintendo of Japan) has released rough dev-kits for developers interested in the next-gen portable. More on GBA next week. What's that? You want me to talk a little bit about Dolphin?

We know most of the Dolphin hardware is being worked on in Japan. So, assuming most of the first party software development is concentrated in Japan is only natural. I did catch wind, however, that NOA's unvoiced development house called the "Treehouse" does have a Dolphin title on the griddle headed by none other then Ken Lobb himself. Recognize the name? He's the guy that handles the Rare titles in Redmond, Washington.

Also, Mr. Personal Relations Man from NCL paid a visit today to the main corporate woman at NOA, Perrin Kaplan. Will this result in a dolphin announcement sometime tomorrow or next week? I think so.
