It's the inevitable return of the kid and squid dichotomy.

In terms of number of games, it's a light week (prior to Europe's PR, Japan has the lead with seven games just on Switch). But like was speculated the last couple of weeks, they had quantity to get away from Splatoon 2. Possibly the biggest game to hit Switch since day 1 and Breath of the Wild, I would wish good luck to anyone trying to buy a Switch this week. Especially in Japan.

Because it's a light week, we have the first of two consecutive weeks with a game developed by Arzest as the other original Switch software: puzzle brawler Boost Beast will provide your break from inking. The retro representative this week is the original Samurai Shodown, as Hamster continues to throw darts to determine the release order for the various games in SNK's many fighting series.

Europe has Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star and the apparent digitial release (physical comes in September) of Cave Story+ in addition to the above this week. Japan gets a late pickup of Bulb Boy and most of the above, plus Cars 3 because something has to be sent to die this week.
