Hopefully priced closer to Fates than Awakening's.

Like its 3DS predecessors, Fire Emblem Echoes will have DLC and a season pass.

A full breakdown of the costs for North America and Europe will come closer to the game's May 19 release, but the Japanese website has confirmed a mix of free and paid content will be available. On release day in Japan, experience, gold and item-granting maps will be made available.

I'm thinking that it will be closer to the Fates model. Awakening was clearly a test as Nintendo was still new to DLC when it came out, though I am sure sales of the DLC by core series fans helped fuel the current support the series is getting by Nintendo. Every core fan of Fire Emblem probably bought 1-3 of the DLC maps as there were a few that gave unique class items or other bonuses.
