Which would you rather have - a dance party, or a Corpse Party?
It's hard to believe we're less than six months away from the Wii U's successor launching, and yet we're getting a prominent Wii game this week in the form of Just Dance 2017. But that's off-topic, since you'll probably want to pick up the Wii U version for its access to, among other things, the music subscription service. And if my dancing wasn't scary enough, this pre-Halloween update also includes the original Corpse Party game (ported from the PC by way of the PSP). Now, the question is this: Is saving $20/$25 worth giving up the dolls and other feelies from the game's retail edition?
The eShop exclusives are in a lighter week, with a couple of 3DS drawing apps and Ectoplaza, a multiplayer party game with a spooooooky theme leading the charge. Also, a game from which I have been spared from due to a lack of a Canadian release in Demonic Karma Summoner whose Nintendo web store description is three sentences of pain. The sole Virtual Console release of the week is Lost in Shadow, which was one of the last titles released under the Hudson Soft label in North America before Konami acquired them.
Europe has a roughly similar week, though Just Dance and Corpse Party are joined by Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure. Vote Falcom for drill puns after you check out my review. The DLC is pretty heavy this week, as Minecraft sees new maps and skins, while Runbow got Zach Miller's attention again with OH HAY LOOK SHANTAE.
