There's a Capcom game that prominently involves the Hadouken.

There's a couple of interesting eShop titles that may be worth a look this week. On Wii U, Tadpole Treble steps to the stage - a music game where you guide a tadpole around a musical staff - and it was designed by Matthew Taranto of Brawl in the Family fame. On the 3DS there's Ambition of the Slimes, which basically asks "What would happen if you crossed Final Fantasy Tactics and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime" which sounds awesome on paper.

What was originally thought to be a light week for the Virtual Console ended up being a busy one. The New 3DS adds Mega Man X to the stable, so you can Shotgun Ice the night away, while the Wii U keeps its sporting trend going during a certain international sports event with Mario Sports Mix and Wave Race 64.

Europe gets some late arrivals on the eShops this week along with Ambition of the Slimes - Plenty of Fishes came out before I joined the staff. Its VC is a little busier with Super Paper Mario and a buy 1 get one half off on the other two SNES Mega Man X games - but the big attention is in the sales. You can get every BitTrip WiiWare game for five quid, or grab an inexpensive Virtue's Last Reward, or maybe avail yourself of Capcom's annual sale.

Talkback

A week ago I might have bought Mega Man X on the New 3DS, but I started playing Zero Mission yesterday and I'm reminded of just how much better the Wii U gamepad is for games like that.
