Two Shantae games in one day is not out of the realm of possibility.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will soon be appearing in retail stores.

Rising Star Games has picked up the 2014 eShop title for physical publication on September 27 in North America and 30 September for Europe. The game will release for US$29.99 / C$39.99 / €29.99 / £29.99, and the announcement includes a mention of brand new content for the physical release.

If dates hold, there will be Shantae releases for both 3DS and Wii U on the 27th as Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is currently showing the date for its Wii U physical release distributed by XSEED.

Talkback

Man, wayforward. :/ that's two boxed games you're going to make me double-dip for?!?

I swear, at this rate I'm going to own 2 copies of every friggin' Shantae game. >_>

I already got the game from the Nindie bundle, but it'll make a good collector's item for others.

Testing, testing, first post.  I think this is cool but the more times this happens the more antsy I am about buying digital releases since I always prefer a physical copy.

If this is the new normal, I'm going to stop buying digital copies of Wayforward Technologies games or supporting those Kickstarter projects. Granted, this is only for the 3DS version. If the NX rumors are true, that will be the same thing moving forward. If there are physical releases on NX, I'd consider double dipping. For now, I'll stick with the digital copies of Half-Genie Hero and The Pirate's Curse.
