Nintendo Downloads - March 31, 2016

Oddly, the biggest download of the week isn’t on an eShop at all.

While most people are picking up their phones this week for the international release of Miitomo, there are a few things that should help you to start building the MyNintendo Gold balance. On the Wii U, Aksys is bringing a game that may have gotten under-reported because it was announced before Zero Time Dilemma last year at Anime Expo: Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus. If you were a fan of Elliot Quest or Zelda II, this adventure platformer will be right up your alley. There’s a slight Nintendo World Report connection as well with PixlCross, developed by former NWR staffers Nick and Chessa DiMola..

The 3DS eShop picks up another Kemco RPG – when did they become so prolific in that regard? – in Justice Chronicles. No 3DS Virtual Console this week, but in celebration of Opening Day on Monday, Nintendo is dropping Mario Super Sluggers from the Wii downloadable on Wii U. (Bat flips not included, sadly.)

Europe gets a real baby game for Wii U, and picks up an interesting 3D platformer in FreezeME. But the biggest item is in the sale front, as the late release of Fire Emblem Fates has caused a giant Fire Emblem sale, including EVERY SINGLE BIT of Awakening DLC being 50% off.

Oh goodie, I was hoping we would eventually get the Pokken demo since Europe did. I have no idea if I'd like the game or not, so the only way to know is to try it out.

I like how the NA eshop has a section-thing called "As Featured in Smash Bros. For 3DS" and the character they put on the cover art there is Lucas.
