I'd be thrilled with a DQ7 release date as well.  Just got into the series with DQ8.  A local used game store has DQ7 for the PS1 but they want $70 for it.  Getting it for the 3DS would probably work better for me.

Gonna cross my fingers for SF0 and Pokken amiibo.

Pretty much the only thing I'd like to see since Nintendo is inexplicably refusing to talk NX is news on Mother 3 and SMT x FE.  Zelda Wii U could make an appearance, but I doubt it. We'll probably see Star Fox delayed. If Paper Mario was ever going to make an appearance, this would be the Direct for it (with more at E3).

Seriously, though, Nintendo: just reveal the NX. While you have that hanging over every public thing you do, nothing else you have really matters.

Avoiding the topic of the NX only makes people ore interested for the eventual E3 announcement. It also means people can be more disappointed when it finally shows its face, too! All aboard the next 24 hours.

Tomorrow is the day they finally announce that Ice Climbers reboot we've all been waiting for.

Anyone who is keeps up with videogame news is aware of the NX but I don't think the general public is.  So once Nintendo formally reveals it Wii U and 3DS sales, since we're assuming it will somehow replace both, dry up.  I know they're not moving like hot cakes anyway but once the cat is out of the bag no one is going to buy a platform they know is finished within months unless it is super cheap.  I understand why Nintendo would want to delay that as long as possible.

Even with the Direct-specific leaks that have been floating around, this appears to be a check-in with known stuff. That's fine.


As for the lack of official NX news, I find it amusing that Nintendo is holding its cards so close to its chest while some people are losing their minds with rumors. It's part of the fun!

I dunno if there will be anything new shown, but there are a decent number of things that don't have release dates or have not been announced for release outside Japan. I'd be happy to just hear about some of that stuff.

Im mostly looking forward to seeing the new format of the Direct. Im also hoping Box Boy 2 is announced. Star Fox Zero will probably be the main focus of the show. Federation Force might show up too, but I feel like they might keep that until E3.

Yeah, I'm hoping for some obvious localization announcements. I'm surprised that Genei Ibun Roku #FE has been out for two months with no news of a release in America. I suppose it did take XCX 5 months to make it over but I'm expecting Atlus to take on the localization (in hopes that it will be as close to the original material as possible), and they're wizards with that sort of thing.

This would be the perfect time to drop a bombshell release for the Wii U, some final fan-centric game everyone would get excited for that has been in development for a while but kept totally under wraps because Nintendo does things weird. No not F-Zero sorry,  but a now is the prefect time to announce a new Pilot Wings that makes use of the Game Pad. Being serious.
