The Splatoon crowd is down with Ekans, apparently

Results from the weekend's first worldwide Splatfest:

North America - Blue 399, Red 301 (45-55, 59-41)

Europe and Australia - Blue 378, Red 322 (36-64, 57-43)

Japan - Green 423, Red 277 (39-61, 64-36)

At Ancho-V Games, Pokémon Red won the popularity poll in all three regions; however, as with recent Splatfests the popularity win is a harbinger of massive losses in the battles. Marie's Pokémon versions won the battle portion by a minimum of 14 points, leading to some massive victories.

Among the bits of history made this past weekend: First team to score over 400 points in the 6x multiplier format and biggest battle win margin (Japan's Pokémon Green), first 3 game winning streak for Marie, a tie for North America's largest battle wins (59% for Blue, tieing Team Naughty from December), Europe/Australia's popularity record tied (with Rock from July, but Rock also won the battles).

Talkback

My first game was red but I chose team blue because Blastoise is just so much more cooler to me than Charizard.

Red got the popularity vote but they're all show and no go.

My splat money!

I had to go with Red. It is the one I own. I am not regret.
