And the price will certainly be right for them.
The anniversary release of Pokémon Red, Green, Blue and Yellow in Japan will have several promotions, including exclusive new hardware.
Special bundles of the 2DS preloaded with the various versions of Pokémon and with matching colors will release in Japan on February 27, the same day the games launch on Virtual Console in all territories. The systems will retail for 9,980yn (approx. US$82 at current rates). The Blue system will be exclusive to Japan's Pokémon Center stores, while the other colors will have general availability.
A promotion was announced to coincide with the release that will give the Pokémon Mew to all owners of the VC games in Japan via a serial code. The codes will come with all versions of the game for the first year, while owners of the console bundle will also gain the ability to use Mew in the Virtual Console games. As of yet, similar offers for the rest of the world have yet to be announced.
The release of these 2DS bundles marks the first time that the 2DS hardware has been sold in Japan.
