Plus results from the last European Splatfest.

Some news and notes from the world of Splatoon:

  • An update will release tomorrow night to bring the game to version 2.4. According to the patch notes provided by Nintendo, the key features will be improvements to level matching and removal of several exploits. Rainmaker mode has also seen several changes, including prohibited areas in several stages where the timer will count down faster if entered with the Rainmaker.
  • A music video was released on several Nintendo social media channels, which also served to announce two upcoming stages. The new stages are called Piranha Pit and Ancho-V Games. The video, which also shows off conveyor belts and fans in some parts of the new areas, can be found at the bottom of the post. No release date was given.
  • Finally, the PAL region Splatfest VII took place this past weekend, and clearly the European crowd are not fans of pineapple on pizza. The anti-pineapple side swept the contest, with a 62-38 score in popularity and a 54-46 advantage in the battles, for a final result of 382-318.

Please let there be a dance emote!

That remix of Splattack is great, and I like how the two new maps are using new elements and gimmicks.
