It’s the week of the long walk.

The big games of the week for North America provide an interesting contrast. On the 3DS, you have the eternally bouncy ninja brawler Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, which should provide more than your daily allotment of combat. Of course, we let Zach review this one. The Wii U’s biggest gun this week is the spooky, ethereal Year Walk, which is a new version of the beloved mobile game developed straight up for Wii U. Kim has our review for the game.

On the Virtual Console for North America, we have Car Battler Joe – a Natsume GBA car combat RPG developed by the original Streets of Rage 2 team and with a Yuzo Koshiro soundtrack. It comes recommended for those who enjoyed SoR2 when it came out as a 3D Classic a couple of months ago. Of course, there's a good chance you don't care about that as the update for Shovel Knight launches today on all systems, in all territories, that brings a Plague of Shadows upon the land.

Europe gets Year Walk, another grip of Virtual Console titles including a couple in the spirit of Mario Maker and for some reason besides Greg, Tecmo Bowl and a bunch of Pokémon themes. You’d almost think that was portending something.
