Pier Solar HD Delay Detailed

Even with a delay, Pier Solar HD brings many new additions worth getting excited about.

Pier Solar and the Great Architects (referred to as Pier Solar HD) has been delayed after failing "internal requirements" by Microsoft for Xbox 360 certification.

This directly effects the release of the title on Wii U because developer WaterMelon Co. wants to send in the game in to Nintendo, along with Sony for its PSN release, as "clean" as possible in order to avoid more delays. In a blog post about the delay on the dev's website Magical Game Factory, more details were given on this new version of Pier Solar and the Great Architects. Unlike the original (a 2010 homebrew released for Sega Genesis) there will be multiple endings. The story has also been beefed up with 16 more pages worth of dialog added. A robot dog that was left out originally is in the HD release along with new sidequests.

I'm interested in this game, but I can wait.

Given that this is scheduled to release on Xbox One and everyone/their dog knows about the parity clause, why don't they just come out and say it?

I'd still rather get this on a repro cart for the genesis, but I'm probably in the minority here.

If you want the retro cart, you'll probably want to pick up the sega CD additional disc they offer as it will greatly enhance the music.
