The classic cinematic platformer is possibly heading to both the 3DS and Wii U.

Another World: 20th Anniversary seems to be making its way to the Wii U and 3DS sometime soon.

The game has been rated by the German ratings system USK, but beyond that there hasn't been much confirmation. Currently, the USK rating has since been removed, but NeoGAF has provided a screencap of the ratings.

The game has players controlling a young physicist by the name of Lester who somehow gets sucked into a foreign alien world. Without any clue as to how he got there, he must survive the alien planet and figure out a way home.

Ports of the original 1991 version have been released for the Super Nintendo as well as the Game Boy Advance. More news on this as it develops.

Good game. It's like Prince of Persia crossed with Space Ace. I played it on the GBA flash cart.

Was the SNES version of this known under a different name? This sort of sounds like Out of This World on SNES.

Another World = Out of this World SNES, yeah.

For those who aren't familiar, the new Retronauts did an episode on the subject recently.
