Three Consecutive Weekend eShop Sale Stars this Weekend in Japan

20 to 30 percent off of Donkey Kong, Zelda and Mario titles starts this weekend in Japan!

A special three weekend promotion giving gamers 20 to 30 percent off of select titles in the Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario series starts this weekend on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShops in Japan. The first day of the sale, running from February 22 to 23, features discounts on Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D down 20 percent to 3,840 yen (from 4,800 yen). Virtual Console games are also thrown into the mix with Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong 3 receiving a 30 percent price drop on the Wii U and 3DS putting them at 350 yen each (from 500 yen).

The second weekend of the sale running March 1 and 2 has The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD at 20 percent off selling for 4,788 yen (from 5,985 yen). The original Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link will be 30 percent off and selling for 350 yen (from 500 yen). The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on 3DS is set to sell for 420 yen (from 600 yen).

In the final leg of the promotion on March 8 and 9, Paper Mario: Sticker Star on 3DS will see a 20 percent priced reduction to 3,840 yen (from 4,800 yen). Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart on the Wii U will sell for 560 yen each (from 800 yen), Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins for 280 yen (from 400 yen) on 3DS and NES Open Tournament Golf (known as Mario Open Golf in Japan) will sell for 350 yen (from 500 yen) on both the Wii U and 3DS.

The sale is currently limited to Japan.

Next week people in North America can get 30% off games digitally. First 10% from the Deluxe Digital Promotion. Second Best Buy will have their eShop cards 20% off so you can get a $50 eShop card for $40!

Wish they'd release some of their 2nd and 3rd tier first party VC games. Don't we all own all of these games by now, or at least the ones we want? Come on Nintendo. You have a huge library of first party titles, get them on the systems!

for 3rd party games, is out of 3rd party developers to release those games...maybe Ninty can be more proactive...but I don't think they will offer some money or more share coming from the purchases.
