You might not have to clean out the fridge for this one.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, or Zelda no Densetsu: Kaze no Takuto HD as it is known as in Japan, will be a 2.6 GB download on the Nintendo Wii U eShop.

The official Japanese Wind Waker product page also revealed that on top of GamePad support, the remake will also allow gamers to play through the game using the Wii U Pro Controller.

For save data, players will need to have at least 31 MB available for the game’s three save slots. Wind Waker HD also supports 1080p, full HD visuals and Linear PCM 5.1 channel Surround Sound.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is set to release in Japan on September 26, Europe on October 4, October 5 in Australia and sometime in October in North America.

Fridge? I have an external HDD. Was quite cool to see the Wii U automatically choose where to download games to, Warriors Orochi 3 went to the internal memory (and clogged it up completely), Pikmin 3 automatically went onto the HDD.

Am I making too much out of the fact that the Club Nintendo intend-to-purchase surveys have different expiration dates for the digital and retail versions? Could Nintendo bump up the digital release date as a surprise or am I looking too much into it?

31 MB seems like a lot, especially compared to the original. To put it in perspective, that's almost four times as much memory as the GameCube largest first party memory card. I wonder what changed. Miiverse?

Did the camera in wind waker store in the save file?

I like when people notice things like that. My guess it's that they have a different marketing strategy for the 2 types. It could be that they are trying to gauge how many physical copies they need to make so if you're going to buy digital they want to know quickly? It's a great question.

My 2TB HDD says I'll never have to clean out the fridge even though I buy all Wii U games digitally!

Wind Waker HD also supports 1080p, full HD visuals and Linear PCM 5.1 channel Surround Sound

that would imply that the sound in the game is being reworked somehow.
