Denpa Men 3 details are revealed, and the first two games are now half off!

Denpa Ningen no RPG 3, the third title in what is known as the Denpa Men series in the West, is set to release in Japan on August 7 for 1,000 yen on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Before the games official release, a free demo will be distributed to the 3DS eShop on July 31.

Unlike the past two Denpa Ningen titles, when players try to capture Denpa Ningen in the AR segment of the game, the characters will try to hamper your efforts in catching them by launching projectiles at the screen. The Denpa characters will be able to have houses that players can decorate. Some additional elements have been implemented into the battle system, too. For example, players can now capture monsters and then use them in battle against enemies.

Denpa Ningen 3 will be more expansive than previous titles, giving gamers the chance to travel to other islands. The other islands allow for interactions with your friends via the Nintendo Network, such as giving you the ability to buy and sell items and to exchange and borrow Denpa Ningen at a Bazaar and Rental island. There is also an island called the Auto Antena Island that lets players catch Denpa Ningen automatically based on parameters that an be filled out (i.e., you’re only looking for a red and purple Denpa Ningen, so you check those two boxes). On top of all of this, players can import their data from Denpa Ningen no RPG 1 and 2 to the new game.

From now until July 17 at 9:59 a.m., Denpan Ningen no RPG and Denpan Ningen no RPG 2 are half off on the 3DS eShop, putting them at 400 yen and 500 yen respectively.

There is currently no word on a release outside of Japan. You can watch the Denpa Ningen segment of the Chotto Nintendo Direct below starting at 0:33.

Talkback

I'm glad this is happening, but there is that part of me that would love to see Genius Sonority do something new. Also, I'm in no rush to see this localized. Denpa Men 2 is damn long.
