Let your friend buy Monster Hunter and get a free copy for yourself.

European Club Nintendo members can gift a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS) to a friend using Nintendo's new promotion.

There are several stipulations in order to be eligible for the Gift & Hunt Together Promotion. Registering a copy of the game before 22:59 (UK Time) June 30 gives the purchaser a Recommendation Code. A friend must then register a 3DS or 3DS XL system between June 3  23:01 (UK time) and June 31 22:59 and then input the code before 22:59 on August 5 to get the free game. Users who have registered the game previously will still recieve a code.

This is only for Europe and can not be done if you have participated in the So Many Games Club Nintendo promotion.

I don't mean to be negative, but it kind of sucks that the above stipulation was included. My cousin and sister both purchased a 3DS after I showed them Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land, and because I'm such a nice guy I set up their Club Nintendo accounts, showed them how to register their devices and games, and also showed them what they could buy with their stars. Which is now a bad thing, because had I let those slips of paper languish in their boxes I could activate them now and give someone a free copy of Monster Hunter, lol.

I guess I just don't see why people who registered their system prior to June 3rd should be ineligible to receive the code (you know, other than the fact that Nintendo is trying to promote new purchases rather than reward existing ones). Ah well.

Back to the positive though, I love all these promotions that NoE has been running recently. They are perhaps a little convoluted for my tastes, but welcome nonetheless.
