The well received JRPG is making its way west.

Bravely Default is coming to North America and Europe.

Announced at today's Nintendo Direct, Bravely Default is a Squaree Enix RPG developed by Silicon Studio that acts as the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. It features turn based combat and heavy StreetPass integration allowing gamers to call on encountered players for help.

No release date has been announced for North America while Europe's release was revealed to be coming by the end of this year.

I could have sworn Iwata said coming in 2014.
Anyway, glad it's coming.

Probably my favorite news of the event. I also heard 2014, which seems a long way off... but there is no lack of 3DS games that interest me between now and then.

Early February (DQVI/Fire Emblem) slot sounds about right for this one.
