Wii U Demo at New Zealand Armageddon

Kiwi gamers finally get the chance to try out the Wii U.

Nintendo's Wii U console will be on show at the Armageddon Expo 2012 next weekend. This will mark the first time the console has been available to the public in the country.

Fans will get the chance to play several games including Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

The expo runs in Auckland from October 19 - 21, at the ASB Showgrounds. For more information and to buy tickets, head on over to their website.

The Wii U will launch in New Zealand on November 30 for NZ $469.95 Basic and $569.95 Premium.

Nintendo Australia announce Wii U™ will be playable to the public at New Zealand Armageddon in Auckland, October 19th – 22nd 2012. This will be the first time Wii U will be showcased to the public in New Zealand with titles such as Nintendo Land™ and New Super Mario Bros.™ U available to play!
Nintendo Australia recently announced Wii U will launch across Australia and New Zealand on 30th November 2012 with the Wii U Basic Pack launching at the SRP NZ $469.95*, featuring a Wii U console with 8GB internal storage and a Wii U GamePad, both in white. While the Wii U Premium Pack launches at the SRP NZ $569.95* and contains a black Wii U console and Wii U GamePad, with 32GB of internal storage providing more space for downloadable digital content. The Premium Pack also contains a stand for the Wii U GamePad and console, a charging cradle for the Wii U GamePad, a sensor bar and Nintendo Land software. Both packs also feature a HDMI cable and AC adapters for the console and Wii U GamePad.

Wii U, is a HD console that offers more choice and variety of gameplay than ever before. With brand new gaming experiences enabled by the innovative Wii U GamePad controller, up to five players** can jump into the fun, with up to four people using Wii Remote™ controllers and one on the Wii U GamePad. The Wii U GamePad offers an integrated second screen and can also be used independently of the TV set with certain software.New Zealand gamers will be able to play a variety of the titles available at launch, including Nintendo Land™, New Super Mario Bros.™ U and ZombiU™.
