WayForward Technologies is bringing an HD remake of Mighty Switch Force to the Wii U's eShop, potentially as a launch title.

Nintendo Power revealed the game in an interview with Wayforward Technology's Matt Bozon. The team is going back to the game's original promotional as a base for the new cel-based animation which is much higher quality than the original 3DS sprite art. This will be the complete version of Mighty Switch Force that was recently updated on the 3DS eShop including the bonus missions and retry feature. Bozon also hinted at more new content if they have time. Interestingly, the biggest challenge for the developers was rethinking some of puzzles to fit on a widescreen display.

Bozon ended the interview saying they'd have even more to announce for Wii U and 3DS in the future.
