The sequel to Renegade Kid's first eShop game will add boss battles.
Renegade Kid is planning to make a sequel to Mutant Mudds, their first eShop game, and release it in early 2013, according to Renegade Kid Co-Founder Jools Watsham.
The sequel will retain the 2D platforming of the original, which is set to finally hit Europe next week, but will add boss battles.
Like the original, the sequel will contain five worlds, but this time there will be five levels in each instead of four. The fifth level in each world will be a boss battle. Watsham explained that the boss battles will serve as a punctuation mark for each world, as you'll be required to beat each of the four levels in a world before taking on the boss, and the next world will remain locked until you beat the previous world's boss.
Renegade Kid is currently wrapping up their next eShop game, Bomb Monkey, which is set to come out at the end of June or early July. After that, they are planning to release ATV Wild Ride 3D in the fall, and possibly another title before the year is out. They are also waiting for Ignition to release Planet Crashers 3D.
